Ski Touring in Finland

A largely flat country in northern Europe, Finland does have a few peaks of interest to the skier in the far northwest of the country near the Norwegian and Swedish borders. It gets bitterly cold (and very dark) in the winter season. A couple of pictures here from an ascent of the 1029m high peak of Saana above the village of Kilpisjarvi.
